Berryville 38, Yellville-Summit 6
Nehemias Lopez had 24 carries for 198 yards and 4 touchdowns to lead Berryville past Yellville-Summit in a nonconference game.
Lopez scored on runs of 1, 5, 26 and 64 yards. His 5-yard touchdown run was set up by Weston Holman’s interception return. Travis McBryde added a 61-yard touchdown run for Berryville.
Dardanelle 21, Danville 13
Kendall Pinkney ran for a touchdown and pass for another to lead Dardanelle (1-0) past Danville (0-1).
Pinkney opened Dardanalle’s scores with a 34-yard pass to Lucas Loving in the first quarter, then broke loose on a 44-yard scoring run in the secons quarter.
Trent Davis scored Dardanelle’s other touchdown on a 4-yard run in the third quarter.
Leroy Ruiz returned an interception 75 yards for Danville.
Ola 28, Subiaco Academy 6
SUBIACO — Will King carried 14 times for 82 yards and 3 touchdowns as Ola shut out Subiaco Academy in a nonconference game.
King scored on runs of 7 and 8 yards.
Tyler King had 7 catches for 111 yards and ran for a 30-yard touchdown.
Buck Butler led Subiaco with 17 carries for 81 yards.
Mansfield 23, Waldron 12
Justin Castleberry ran for a pair of touchdowns as Mansfield (1-0) defeated Waldron (0-1) in a nonconference game.
Castleberry scored on runs of 10 and 70 yards and Blake Godwin added a 10-yard touchdown run as Mansfield finished with 287 yard rushing.
Josh Waddle hit Ryan Goodner with a 77-yard touchdown pass for Waldron.
Union Christian 27, Episcopal Collegiate 14
Chase Gushing had 11 carries for 117 yards and 2 touchdowns to lead Union Christian (1-0) past Episcopal Collegiate (0-1) in a nonconference game.
Gushing scored on runs of 46 and 10 yards.
Union Christian quarterback Dustin Flaspohler completed 10 of 17 passes for 111 yards and 1 touchdown. He hit Dawson Urrutia with a 25-yard touchdown pass. Urrutia finished with 7 catches for 73 yards.
Dover 21, Atkins 22
ATKINS — Terence Bobo had 28 carries for 210 yards and 3 touchdowns to lead Atkins (1-0) past Dover (0-1) in a nonconference game.
Bobo scored on runs of 2, 6 and 12 yards.
Earle 38, Gosnell 16
Daron Weeden had 3 receptions for 180 yards and 2 touchdowns in the victory to lead a balanced offensive effort.
Eric Cox added 150 yards and 1 touchdown on 9 carries. Steven Meredith threw two touchdown passes and ran for another.
Glen Rose 28, De Queen 19
Doug Vinson rushed 26 times for 145 yards, including a 94-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter, as Glen Rose held off De Queen.
Tahlequah (Okla.) Sequoyah 34, Gravette 20
Tahlequah scored 28 unanswered points over the second and third quarters to pull away from Gravette.
An Ethan McKenzie pass to Harvett August tied the score at 6-6 for the Lions in the first quarter, but Tahlequah held Gravette out of the end zone until three minutes remained in the game. McKenzie found Hayden McAfee on a five-yard touchdown pass and Michael Croasell scored on a 70-yard run to set the final margin with 10 second left in the game.
